Those comments are cool, how did you do that? I didn't realize San Antonio was so small.

I used a map-making program called Your G Map.

San Antonio is huge - it has a population of over 1.2 million people, making it the seventh most populated city in the U.S. It's also a post-modern city, which means it's sprawling, mostly decentralized place (like L.A.)

What you're looking at in that map is my neighborhood and where I would walk from it.

My neighborhood, which was one of the first suburbs built in the city (in the 1800s), was unique to San Antonio in a few ways.

For one, I was within walking distance of downtown. A lot of people I went to school with on the North side of the city had never even been downtown.

For another, I could walk and actually be somewhere other than another neighborhood just like mine. In most of San Antonio, if you were going somewhere, you were taking the car.
